At the IFA 2026 event in Berlin, EarFun unveiled its latest flagship over-ear headphones, the Wave Pro X. These headphones are crafted to deliver high-quality audio through dual-driver technology, integrated with hybrid active noise cancellation, AI processing, and a long-lasting battery. The Wave Pro X employs EarFun’s DCAA acoustic framework, featuring two separately calibrated dynamic drivers and high-purity voice coils. This configuration aims to offer a broader soundstage while preserving detailed audio across varying frequencies.
The headphones’ noise cancellation capabilities are enforced by an eight-microphone array coupled with real-time processing. This Hybrid ANC system is engineered to adapt to environmental conditions, effectively minimizing external noise during audio playback. A standout feature of the Wave Pro X is its battery life. EarFun claims it can provide up to 90 hours of playback, or 50 hours when noise cancellation is active. Additionally, a quick 15-minute charge is said to offer up to 10 extra hours of listening time.
Designed with user comfort in mind, the headphones boast a foldable design and memory-foam earcups for prolonged wear. Connectivity options include Bluetooth multipoint, allowing seamless switching between devices, along with a 3.5mm wired connection that offers a hi-res bypass option. White Wang, CEO of EarFun, emphasized that the Wave Pro X was developed to enhance sound quality, noise cancellation, comfort, connectivity, and battery efficiency, rather than prioritizing a single feature.
In addition to the Wave Pro X, EarFun gave a preview of its upcoming Air Pro 5 true wireless earbuds. The new earbuds promise upgraded sound tuning, active noise cancellation, and adaptive processing. EarFun collaborated with engineers from Bose Corporation’s Audio Technology business for acoustic engineering services related to ANC modeling, tuning, and validation. More information on the Air Pro 5’s specifications and availability is anticipated to be released in the future.
Consumers can purchase the EarFun Wave Pro X worldwide via EarFun’s official website and Amazon. The pricing is set at €149.99, $129.99, and £119.99. For further inquiries, interested parties can reach out to Helen Shaw at EarFun Technology (HK) Limited through the email [email protected].
