Bodo Ramelow recently led a German delegation to Da Nang, Vietnam, to explore avenues for enhancing partnerships between the city and German enterprises across various sectors. The discussions aimed at building on existing socio-economic collaborations and identifying new opportunities in education, technology, investment, workforce development, and vocational training.
During the meetings, Da Nang’s authorities expressed a keen interest in broadening partnerships with German regions and institutions, with a particular focus on human resource development and vocational education. The city is eager to promote German language training and welcomes greater investment from Germany in high-tech industries, including semiconductor production, renewable energy, digital transformation, and the green economy.
Ramelow underlined the potential of vocational education as a key area for collaboration. He suggested the creation of joint training programs that would equip graduates with qualifications recognized in both Vietnam and Germany. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of strengthening business ties and creating new investment opportunities to bolster economic relations.
Germany is one of Da Nang’s prominent European partners, with a well-established cooperation framework encompassing trade, technology, education, research, and cultural exchanges. The visit by the German delegation reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to expand their economic and institutional partnerships further.
